On our bridal page on our website, we have a timeline of our recommended beauty schedule to be ready to go on the big day!
Let’s start with skin tips!
If you plan on changing anything in your skin regimen it is best to do this no later than 2-3 months out from the date. That includes adding facials into your regimen. It takes your skin about 2-3 weeks to start showing results from the changes and this is also the window that you may see minor breakouts of your pores cleansing themselves.
If you want to begin a skin treatment regimen with an esthetician it is best to have 2-3 before the big day and to have the last one no later than 2 weeks out, and should not include extractions, heavy exfoliation or new treatments. If you decide to only have one skin treatment before the event date it is best to have the final one no later than 3-4 weeks out.
Are you exfoliating? If so, start now! If
you aren’t exfoliating you are not removing the dead skin cells and debris on your skin. This can clog mores and also cause breakouts. Exfoliating also helps your treatment products like masks, serums, etc
to sink in properly and be more efficient.
Do you have a hydrator? Hydrating is essential for the skin! So is moisture! Yep, the two are different. Hydration is adding water into the skin which ALL skins need, even oily! Moisturizing is important too and is a missing link in a lot of our clients who suffer from oily skin. This will also give your skin a beautiful youthful glow on the day and foundation loves hydrated skin!
Always wear sunscreen with at least an SPF 30 to help keep your skin protected from damaging sun-rays. This can dry out this skin and cause it to be dull. Choose a spray tan! We have a post on our tips for getting a perfect spray tan - CLICK HERE to read it!
Drink a lot of water, especially the two weeks leading up to the day! This will help for the days you may lack sleep and helping the skin bounce back faster.
Hair Tips!
Add a deep conditioning mask or Olaplex into your regimen, at least once a week!
Consider extensions if your hair is shorter or you are looking at a half-up style or all down. If your hair is fuller to thick you can skip this but we will talk more at your trial!
Have you thought about a keratin treatment? This is great for all hair types and will help cut down on frizz. We are in the south and somehow have humidity in every season. This is great to get 2-3 weeks from the day!
We recommend getting a cut or trim no later than 2 weeks to freshen up the shape and style. New color no later than 4 weeks out, so you can work out any tweaks and color refreshing no later than 2 weeks out.
Plan on having your brows shaped at least 2-4 times with your trusted brow lady. This way you will have your perfect shape for the day
